Organizers: T-Business & «Sadovod» Market Russia, Moscow, 14 km of MKAD, bldg. 4, December 4, 2025
T-Business, in partnership with the "Sadovod" market, has set a Russian and BRICS record for The Most Massive Supermarket Trolley Race. The record was officially registered by BRICS RECORD — an independent and permanent international registry of records and outstanding achievements of BRICS and BRICS+ countries. The celebratory races took place on December 4, coinciding with Online Entrepreneur Day — the main professional holiday for those driving the e-commerce market forward. Traditionally, T-Business organizes shopping cart races on this day to unite digital trade market participants, infrastructure platforms, sellers, and online entrepreneurs. Over three years, the format has evolved into a full-fledged industry event, thanks to support from major e-commerce and retail companies. This year, teams from M. Video, Golden Apple (Zolotoye Yabloko), Sportmaster, Flowwow, and Cloud are participating, with other companies also supporting the celebration. For the first time, the races are being held in several stages, covering different venues and involving an increasing number of market representatives. The record-setting race took place on the grounds of the "Sadovod" market. It involved 295 participants using 100 shopping carts. The competition was held in teams of three: one participant rode in the cart, while two others pushed it. The track was 300 meters long, and the race lasted 5 minutes and 55 seconds. Participants included online entrepreneurs, e‑commerce store representatives, marketplace sellers, as well as specialists in logistics, marketing, and fintech.
The goal of the initiative is to unite e-commerce professionals and draw attention to the celebration of Online Entrepreneur Day. Every year, market participants independently choose the format of the initiative for the celebration. One of the established formats has become shopping cart races involving e-commerce representatives. This year, the number of participants reached a record scale—making the event historic for Russia, BRICS, and BRICS+ countries.
Andrey Kazakov, Head of Seller Relations at T-Business: "For the third year in a row, together with market participants, we are supporting this professional e-commerce holiday. The shopping cart race format has become a way to unite the professional community, express gratitude to online entrepreneurs, and give them a brief respite during the high-pressure period of November sales and the pre-New Year season. The new Russian record and the record for BRICS and BRICS+ countries prove that e-commerce is not just about technology and processes, but also about the people who shape the industry."
Abram Binyaminov, Marketing Director of the Sadovod Market: "We are delighted to congratulate everyone on Online Entrepreneur Day! 'Sadovod' is evolving—including through collaborations and partnerships like this one. Shopping cart races are a metaphor for the interesting and challenging entrepreneurial journey: speed, teamwork, and the ability to make quick decisions are key here. We hope that setting this record will inspire all representatives to pursue bold experiments and unconventional solutions in business."
